Make Waves at Erie Pride 2026!
The first wave of the summer is about to hit Downtown Erie. Are you ready to make a splash?
On Sunday, June 14, the streets of Erie will fill with color, music, and community for the annual NWPA Pride Parade. This year, our theme is Make Waves. We are marching to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
WEATHER UPDATE: PARADE CANCELED
Hey folks! We’ve been tracking today's forecast closely. While the storms might end up being hit or miss, we would much rather keep our community safe than take any chances. Because your safety always comes first, today's parade is officially canceled.
We are completely heartbroken to miss marching with you, especially since the parade cannot be easily rescheduled (meaning our next parade won't be until 2027). Registered participants should check their email shortly for updates.
Don’t count us out just yet, though! We are shifting all of our energy toward our next massive celebration: Pride on the Bay on Saturday, June 27th at Liberty Park. We can't wait to see you all out there to make some serious waves together!
The Game Plan
- Line Up: Noon at 11th and State Street.
- Step Off: 1:00 PM sharp.
- The Route: We are loud, proud, and taking over State Street as we marcH to Perry Square.
Claim Your Space at Perry Square
The march is just the beginning. Once we arrive at Perry Square, the spotlight shifts to all of YOU. This is where we want our community to truly make waves.
Don't just watch the excitement, create it. Several local groups are already organizing their own post-parade get-togethers right in the park. We want everyone to join in and build on that energy. Think about how you want to show up and show out.
Need some inspiration? Here is how you can set up your own mini-celebration in the square:
- Pack a Pride Picnic: Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and a spread of your favorite foods. Turn a patch of grass into your personal lounge spot.
- Show Your Colors: Set up a spot with bubble machines, Pride flags, or temporary tattoo stations.
- Connect and Chill: Bring card games, outdoor activities, or just a speaker to keep the music going.
This day belongs to the entire queer community and our allies. Bring your joy. Bring your voice. Plan your after-march hangouts now, tell your friends, and let's turn Perry Square into a massive celebration of who we are.
